Federal appeals court upholds Connecticut law that eliminated religious vaccination exemption

A federal appeals court on Friday upheld a 2021 Connecticut law that eliminated the state’s longstanding religious exemption from childhood immunization requirements for schools, colleges
and day care facilities.
The decision comes about a year and a half after a lower court judge dismissed the lawsuit challenging the contentious law, which drew protests at the state Capitol.
“This decision is a full and resounding affirmation of the constitutionality and legality of Connecticut’s vaccine requirements. Vaccines save lives — this is a fact beyond dispute,” Democratic Attorney General William Tong said in a statement. “The legislature acted responsibly and well within its authority to protect the health of Connecticut families and stop the spread of preventable disease.”
The plaintiffs, We the Patriots USA Inc. and others, had argued that Connecticut violated religious freedom protections by removing the exemption. The 2021 law, they said, demonstrates a hostility to religious believers and jeopardizes their rights to medical freedom and child rearing.

Sound of Freedom is a movie based on the true story of Tim Ballard, a government agent who quits his job in order to rescue children from sex traffickers in Colombia. Directed by Alejandro Monteverde, Sound of Freedom is not your typical Hollywood movie. It was released by Utah-based Angel Studios, a company specializing in “faith-based” productions.
The movie was actually completed over five years ago, in 2018, and was slated to be distributed with 20th Century Fox. However, when the studio was bought by the Walt Disney Company, Sound of Freedom was shelved indefinitely. Apparently, Disney was much more preoccupied with making movies that groomed kids with sexual propaganda rather than releasing a movie exposing pedophile networks.
Luckily for the filmmakers, they were able to buy the distribution rights back from Disney and, through equity funding, they’ve managed to get the film released on July 4th, 2023.
Almost immediately, the movie was met with a bizarre barrage of bad reviews where the buzz words “QAnon conspiracies” appear in nearly every article, as if all of these “journalists” (propagandists) received the same memo.

The only Presidential candidate in either Party who proclaims himself to be against Biden’s determination to conquer (regime-change) both Russia and China, is RFK Jr., who has, by now, committed himself also to insisting that Israel is NOT an apartheid nation, and that Israel’s military NEVER targets non-combatants, and that Israel is a democracy not only for Jews there but also for Arabs there, and that Iran must be regime-changed in order to protect Israel.
RFK Jr. appears to have great passion and personal conviction for all of these pro-Israeli and anti-Palestinian and anti-Iranian views, which seem inconsistent with one-another. On the one hand, he pretends that America has a moral necessity to go to war against Iran if need-be in order to protect Israel; and, on the other hand, that America must avoid all wars (such as in Ukraine and in Taiwan) that aren’t necessary in order to protect the American people. He hasn’t said why he thinks that America has an existential national-security interest in protecting Israel.
In a previous article, I spelled out the Democrat plan to end the war in the Ukraine as the slam-dunk way to win the election in 2024. In this piece, I describe a different scenario. Biden has to go. He won’t be around to end the war. So will it be Plan A or Plan B? Either way, it’ll be Big. And even if the Democrats
dump Biden soon, they could still engineer peace in the Ukraine and look like heroes...

China Buys 23 Tons Of Gold In 9th Straight Month Of Purchases, Total Rises To Record 2,137 Tons

Not only is China ravenously buying up all the physical gold it can get its hands on - something it has been doing pretty much non stop since 2009, for the most part covertly with occasional periods of public disclosure meant to achieve specific political goals - more importantly, it is letting the world know it is buying up all the physical gold it can get its hands on.
On Monday, the Chinese central bank revealed that in July it increased its gold reserves for a ninth straight month as central bank purchases - in big part out of China - continue to underpin the price of the precious metal, offset selling by ETFs.
The bullion held by the People’s Bank of China rose by 740,000 troy ounces, or about 23 tons, bringing the country's total stockpile to a record 2,137 tons, with around 188 tons added in a run of purchases that began in November. What China's true purchases are, however, remains a mystery and will be revealed only when Beijing is ready with whatever it has in mind next for its currency.

JPMorgan Chase is currently facing off against three federal lawsuits before Judge Jed Rakoff in the Southern District of New York that charge the bank with facilitating Epstein’s sex trafficking operation, which included dozens of underage school girls. One lawsuit was brought by Epstein’s victims; another by the Attorney General of the U.S. Virgin Islands where Epstein owned an island compound; and a third by shareholders of the bank, which name the bank, Dimon, another bank executive and specific Board Members as defendants.

Moody’s Cuts Credit Ratings on 10 Banks; Places 4 of the 15 Largest Banks in U.S. on Review for Possible Downgrade

Brace yourself for some tremors in the stock prices of banks today — especially those that have counterparty risk to the biggest U.S. banks. In a move that sent Dow futures on a steady downward plunge beginning at 5 a.m. EDT this morning (clocking in at down 268 points by 8:14 a.m.), last evening the credit ratings agency, Moody’s Investors Service, took more sweeping actions in the U.S. banking sector.
Moody’s cut the ratings of 10 banks by one notch, placed six banks on review for potential downgrade, and changed its outlook to negative on 11 other banks.
Causing particular alarm on Wall Street was the fact that four of the six banks that Moody’s put on review for potential downgrade rank among the 15 largest banks in the United States. They are: U.S. Bancorp, the 5th largest bank in the U.S. with $590 billion in consolidated assets; Truist, the 6th largest bank with consolidated assets of $565 billion; Bank of New York Mellon, the 11th largest bank with consolidated assets of $341 billion; and State Street, the 12th largest bank with consolidated assets of $287 billion. (Bank rankings and consolidated assets come from the Federal Reserve and are as of March 31, 2023.)

Austria to enshrine the right to pay with cash into constitution

On 4 August, Austrian ChancellorKarl Nehammer announced plans to enshrine the right to pay with cash into the country’s constitution as card contactless payments become more popular in Europe.
Nehammer proposed the amendment after the Austrian Freedom Party, which is currently surging in the polls, accused the current government of conspiring to ban cash to track its citizens. Nehammer is the leader of Austria’s conservative People’s Party, which rules in a coalition with the
left-wing Green Party.
“In Austria alone, 47 billion euros are withdrawn from ATMs every year and on average every Austrian carries 102 euros in cash,” Nehammer wrote in a tweet (original in German). “That is why I… am committed to ensuring that cash is constitutionally protected as a means of payment.”
The plan would guarantee cash as a payment option and instruct the Austrian Central Bank to secure a basic supply of paper currency. Nehammer has tasked Finance Minister Magnus Brunner to lead the effort while collaborating with other government ministries and representatives from the private sector.

In a recent interview, the newly appointed director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) suggested that the agency may soon come out with a recommendation for Americans to be vaccinated for COVID-19 every year.Mandy Cohen, MD, MPH, who was sworn in as the 20th CDC director on July 10, 2023,3 told Spectrum News:
We’re just on the precipice of that, so I don’t want to get ahead of where our scientists are here and doing that evaluation work, but yes we anticipate that COVID will become similar to flu shots, where it is going to be you get your annual flu shot and you get your annual COVID shot. EPA Authorizes Release of 2 Billion More GMO Mosquitoes as Reports of Malaria Surface in States That Already Released Them

Genetically engineered (GE) mosquitoes created by biotechnology company Oxitec have been released in the U.S. in Florida and Texas.
In March 2022, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) granted Oxitec a two-year extension of its experimental use permit, or EUP, which would allow the biotech company to release additional GE mosquitoes in Florida as well as in four counties in California for the first time.
While the EPA extended Oxitec’s EUP both the Florida Department of Agriculture and California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) must approve Oxitec’s testing in order for it to move forward in their states.
Following pushback from legislators, California’s DPR announced Oxitec voluntarily withdrew its research authorization application to test its GE mosquitoes in California.
Locally acquired malaria has been nonexistent in the U.S. for the last 20 years, but five such cases have recently been diagnosed — four in Florida and one in Texas.

“The Federal Reserve built the FedNow Service to help make everyday payments over the coming years faster and more convenient,” said Federal Reserve Chair Jerome H. Powell. “Over time, as more banks choose to use this new tool, the benefits to individuals and businesses will include enabling a person to immediately receive a paycheck, or a company to instantly access funds when an invoice is paid.”

The top lobbying group for US power plants penned a lengthy letter to President Biden's Environmental Protection Agency, arguing that the administration's aggressive plan to curb greenhouse gas emissions from natural gas-fired plants is "unworkable" because it relies on "unproven technologies."
Edison Electric Institute (EEI), whose members include Consolidated Edison Inc., Dominion Energy Inc., FirstEnergy Corp., and Southern Company, said the EPA's "rulemaking record simultaneously downplays the various infrastructure challenges to deploying" carbon-capture systems (CCS) and hydrogen, "while overplaying the current state of deployment and demonstration of each technology."
EEI continued, "Given these realities, neither CCS nor hydrogen blending are adequately demonstrated today as they are not deployable, available, or affordable across the entirety of the industry, and the attendant supporting infrastructure will take more time than EPA predicts to deploy. This assessment factors in the timelines that EPA proposes for standards that may not be applicable until several years in the future. Accordingly, unit owners and operators have significant concerns about the achievability of the proposed standards."

Biden Admin Concedes No Evidence Behind Recommendation for 6 Annual COVID Booster Shots

After Health Secretary Xavier Becerra, a Biden appointee, wrote in a social media post on Nov. 29, 2022, that people should get vaccinated “if it’s been over 2 months since your last dose,” the Functional Government Initiative (FGI) filed a Freedom of Information Act request for documents supporting the statements.
The watchdog organization then sued after the administration didn't comply with timelines laid out in the law.
FGI asked for, among other documents: "Any scientific support relied on by Secretary Becerra when approving or issuing the tweet recommending that all Americans receive a booster shot every two months" and "any study, synopsis, or similar statement or document of scientific, academic, or government research on whether a bi-monthly booster shot will effectively prevent the transmission or susceptibility to COVID-19 and known active variants as of November 2022."
