Dallas Fed President Robert Kaplan Was Heavily

To read main stream media headlines, one would think that the Federal Reserve Inspector General’s Office has exonerated former Dallas Fed President Robert Kaplan of any legal action for trading like a hedge fund kingpin while he was privy to insider information at the Fed.
In fact, all that the Inspector General’s report has cleared Kaplan of is this: “we did not find that his trading activities violated laws, rules, regulations, or policies related to trading activities as investigated by our office.”
What the Inspector General did not investigate is everything that a real insider trading investigation would have encompassed. It did not investigate if Kaplan was shorting the market with his $1 million plus trades in and out of S&P futures contracts during a declared National Emergency over the COVID pandemic while making market diving predictions on TV; it did not investigate how big ticket trading by a Fed insider got past the compliance department of the brokerage firm Kaplan was using to transact his trades, which may have been the notorious Goldman Sachs; it did not investigate if that brokerage firm was cloning Kaplan’s trades (because he was a Fed insider) for its own profit and benefit.
In short, the Fed Inspector General didn’t do anything that a real investigator at the Securities and Exchange Commission would have done and its report is silent on whether it made a referral to the SEC or the Justice Department in this matter. What the Inspector General did do was to sit on this investigation for more than two years and then deliver a report so hopelessly inept that it provided the long missing dates that Kaplan traded but not the essential information as to whether those trades were purchases or sales. (Kaplan had been allowed by the Fed to evade the required reporting of specific dates for each sale and each purchase of a security for the entire five years he filed his financial disclosure forms at the Dallas Fed. As a former CPA and Goldman Sachs veteran, Kaplan knew or should have known that his financial disclosure forms were breaking Fed rules as well as common sense rules for financial disclosure of trading activities.

China's Plunge-Protection Team Buys Billions In ETFs To Halt Market Rout

Last night we warned that as a result of the ongoing rout in Chinese capital markets, the CSI 1000 index had tumbled just shy of the key 5180 level which would knock-in (i.e., trigger) over 30 billion yuan ($4.2 billion) in snowball derivatives products tied to the Index,
which would in turn unleash a selling cascade and could spark a wholesale market crash.
Well, it seems that Beijing also read the warning, because just minutes later Chinese equity indexes rebounded furiously in afternoon trading, with a volume explosion in some major ETF, a hallmark of aggressive buying by state funds - i.e., China's Plunge Protection Team - who stepped in to halt the slide.
As shown in the chart below, the total traded value of the Huatai-Pinebridge CSI 300 ETF surged to 15.3 billion yuan ($2.1 billion) on Thursday, the highest since 2015 as the National Team made its presence known, while those for Harvest CSI 300 Index ETF and E Fund CSI 300 ETF also saw extraordinary spikes. That coincided with gains in the CSI 300 benchmark of mainland shares, which closed 1.4% higher after declining as much as 1.8%.

Ebola Vaccine That 'Sheds' Onto/Infects Others 31% of the Time Given to Colorado Healthcare Workers Just Down the Road from New Ebola Bat Lab

In November of last year, Colorado healthcare workers at Denver Health received doses of the live Ebola vaccine.
Hospital officials said the Regional Emerging Special Pathogen Treatment Center team became some of the first to receive Merck’s ‘ERVEBO’ Ebola jab, for “preventative measures in case of a future outbreak.”
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) package insert for ERVEBO states that the vaccine “shed[s]” onto others 31.7% of the time and for up to 20 days after vaccination.
This means that vaccinated individuals can spread the disease to those around them.
“Vaccine virus RNA has been detected in blood, saliva, urine, and fluid from skin vesicles of vaccinated individuals,” the insert reads. “In Study 6, 31.7% (19/60) of participants 12 months through 17 years of age enrolled in a substudy shed vaccine virus in saliva following vaccination.”

Journalist Uncovers "Shadowy Network" Of NGOs Facilitating US Border Invasion

We just followed the trail of the migrant vans right to the source, visiting the Arizona border town of Nogales, where we encountered some rude and suspicious "Alita's Angels" NGO (@alitasangels) workers who once again called the police on us.
A volunteer with the American Red Cross, who wouldn't give us his name, tried to prevent us from filming outside a migrant facility and kept sticking his hand over our cameras. Then, when we questioned a volunteer with the NGO, she said "I am your father" and stormed off.

DRINKING just one energy drink a month could increase your risk of sleep problems, a study shows.
Regularly knocking back cans of drinks like Red Bull or Monster boosts your chances of insomnia, Norwegian researchers found.
Young people aged 18 to 35 who had the drinks every day slept around half an hour less than those drinking them occasionally or not at all.
The high caffeine content damages sleep quality, even if you only have them on occasion, they said.
Lead author Siri Kaldenbach, of Innlandet Hospital Trust, said: “Even small amounts of energy drinks were associated with poorer sleep outcomes.
“Most of the associations between energy drink and sleep were similar for male and female students but with a few notable exceptions.
“For bedtime and rise time, we observed a significantly stronger effect for men compared with women.”

Watchlisted: You’re Probably Already on a Government Extremism List

According to the FBI, you may be an anti-government extremist if you’ve:
a) purchased a Bible or other religious materials,
b) used terms like “MAGA” and “Trump,”
c) shopped at Dick’s Sporting Goods, Cabela’s, or Bass Pro Shops,
d) purchased tickets to travel by bus, cars, or plane,
e) all of the above.
In fact, if you selected any of those options in recent years, you’re probably already on a government watchlist.
That’s how broadly the government’s net is being cast in its pursuit of domestic extremists.
We’re all fair game now, easy targets for inclusion on some FBI watch list or another.
When the FBI is asking banks and other financial institutions to carry out dragnet searches of customer transactions—warrantlessly and without probable cause—for “extremism” indicators broadly based on where you shop, what you read, and how you travel, we’re all in trouble.

How many people don’t have a bank account? And just how difficult has it become to live without one?
These questions are becoming increasingly important as more businesses refuse to take cashin cities across the U.S. People without bank accounts are shut out from stores and restaurants that refuse to accept cash.
As it happens, a lot of people are still “unbanked”: roughly 6 million in the U.S., the latest data shows, which is about the population of Wisconsin. And outside of the U.S., more than a billion people don’t have a bank account.
I am a business school professor who researches society’s transition from cash to electronic payments. I recently visited Seattle and was amazed by the mixed signals I saw in many storefronts. Numerous shops had one sign proudly proclaiming how welcoming and inclusive they were — next to another sign saying “No cash accepted.” This tells people without bank accounts that they aren’t
welcome.

French farmers have engaged in a standoff with the government to express anger over a perceived lack of respect, rising costs and suffocating EU regulation. Prime Minister Gabriel Attal seeks to calm the protesters while the far-right National Rally hopes to take advantage of their anger, just five months before the European elections.
France’s farmers are angry with their government. Several dozen of them have been blocking a portion of the A64 highway near Toulouse since January 18 to express their anger. Then an explosion between Thursday and Friday night blew out
the windows of a local government building in the nearby city of Carcassonne. Two graffiti tags left at the scene attributed the act to a mysterious collective of winemakers.
“It is not insignificant that this [the protest movement] comes from the south of the country,” said François Purseigle, a sociology professor at the French agronomy faculty of the Toulouse Institute of Technology. “Farmers are on the frontline of climate change, with successive droughts taking place, and they have been repeatedly told they are not doing enough for the environment.”

JUST IN: Massive Trucker Convoy Protests Planned For Major Border Entry Points On Feb 3

Keith Self (R-TX) announced that truckers will be organizing a demonstration along several southern border routes in protest of the wide open border, as well as the recent Supreme Court decision that will allow Border Patrol agents to cut razor-wire fencing set up by Texas National Guard personnel.
“There will be a ‘Take Our Border Back’ multi-day trucker convoy from January 29th through February 3rd,” Self wrote in an X post. “Routes will end at Eagle Pass TX, Yuma AZ, and San Ysidro CA.”The convoy will mirror similar protest movements in Canada, where truckers rallied around government buildings in Ottawa and border checkpoints in protest of the nation’s stringent vaccine mandates. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau ultimately used the nation’s “Emergencies Act” to declare what amounts to Canadian martial law in response to the protests. Riot police then cleared out the protesters while leaders were placed under arrest after having their bank accounts seized.

"It's a manufactured consensus," says climate scientist Judith Curry in my new video. She says scientists have an incentive to exaggerate risk to pursue "fame and fortune."
She knows about that because she once spread alarm about climate change.
Media loved her when she published a study that seemed to show a dramatic increase in hurricane intensity.
"We found that the percent of Category 4 and 5 hurricanes had doubled," says Curry. "This was picked up by the media," and then climate alarmists realized, "Oh, here is the way to do it. Tie extreme weather events to global warming!"
"So, this hysteria is your fault!" I tell her.
"Not really," she smiles. "They would have picked up on it anyways."

This is in contrast to the treatment of U.S. citizens, who are required to show identification at airports before they are allowed to board a flight.
The New York Post reported that while U.S. citizens are required to show a passport or a valid form of identification to travel by plane both domestically and internationally, signs at various airports claim that the TSA
and CBP are collaborating to enable illegal immigrants to travel without any ID.

In a recent survey of 269 embalmers across four major countries and three continents, more than 70% reported finding strange fibrous white blood clots in significant percentages of corpses in 2023 — clots they were not finding pre-pandemic.
A similar survey conducted in late 2022 revealed that 66% of embalmers began finding the unusual clots in mid-2021, suggesting a temporal link to the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines, which began earlier that year.

ViroLIEgy 101: How "Viruses" Fail to Satisfy Koch's Postulates

I am starting a series of posts under the heading ViroLIEgy 101 in order to provide relatively short (by my standards) and concise explanations of key concepts regarding both germ “theory” and virology. I'm providing an overview on topics that are essential to the conversation that people may be confused with and have difficulty understanding, or areas that seem to be controversial when engaging in discussions with those defending the germ “theory” of disease.
In this inaugural edition of ViroLIEgy 101, I am focusing on Koch's Postulates as they remain a sticking point for many. These criteria, developed and popularized by German bacteriologist Robert Koch during the late 1800s, are largely considered necessary to satisfy in order to prove that any microbe can cause disease. However, depending on who is asked or what source one turns to, there are ways in which those defending the germ “theory” have attempted to bypass these postulates using various excuses, such as claiming that the postulates are old and outdated, or that they refer only to bacteria rather than “viruses.” Let's take a closer look at these postulates in order to see why they are just as relevant and essential today
as they were when Robert Koch originally proposed them.

Hat Tip to Dan Walton for bringing this to my attention. Dan summarizes the importance: For anyone not aware, the Defend the Guard bill passed in the NH House earlier this month! This bill is part of a larger movement to get states to put their foot down and prohibit the deployment of National Guardsmen to overseas combat without a Declaration of War issued by Congress as required by the Constitution. Everyone, please urge your state senator to support this bill! And then eventually the governor too.
I think this bill is the first step in reigning in an overpowered executive branch and starting to undermine the Military Industrial Complex. It is also an excellent example of how the states can control the federal government. Libertarians in NH can help fix federal issues simply by winning in NH!
