Burry is using more than 90% of his portfolio to bet on a market downturn, according to filings. Warren Buffett has been selling rather than buying. Economics professor Steve Hanke said, “The money supply is fuel for the economy, and it has been contracting over the last year. Now, the rate of contraction is -3.6%/yr., something we have not seen since 1938. Following significant changes in the money supply, the economy changes course with a lag of 6-18 months. At present, the economy is running on

GOFFSTOWN, N.H. — Parents pull around the circular driveway to drop their children off in the morning. Students climb the steps and hang their backpacks on hooks. Katy Rose greets her charges and sends them into a classroom festooned with artwork, where they open their laptops and begin working through math problems.
But Rose is not a teacher, and this is not a school. Every child here is a home-schooler.
Rose, a registered nurse, had never studied or worked in education before starting her own “microschool,” where her title is “guide” for students who study math and reading online and depend on her for many other subjects.
Her programis part of a company called Prenda, whichlast year servedabout 2,000 students across several states. It connects home-school families with microschool leaders who host students, often in their homes. It’s like Airbnb for education, says Prenda’s CEO, because its website allows customers — in this case, parents — to enter their criteria, search and make a match.

LA Hotel Converted to Homeless Housing Suffers $11.5 Million in Damage

A Los Angeles hotel sustained $11.5 million in damages while the city used it as a federally sponsored homeless shelter.
The city included the Mayfair Hotel in Project Roomkey, a federal initiative to turn California hotels into temporary homeless shelters. At the end of the hotel's time in the program, the city quietly paid the hotel's owner to cover damages from residents. Social workers assigned to the hotel lamented its condition in emails obtained by the Los Angeles Times.
"Participant in 1516 Threatened staff, Security, destroyed property. Screamed. Yelled cursed. Everything went wrong with her. Inside and outside the building," one social worker wrote. Another recounted how "a male in 1526 assaulted another resident in Room 726."
The Mayfair represents the latest instance in which state and local governments have paid a huge price to address the homelessness crisis in California.

Israel blows up Jenin bakery to assassinate resistance fighter

According to Israeli media outlet Walla, this raid marks Israel’s first assassination operation inside Jenin since the brutal operation last month.
“Earlier today, a large unit of the Israeli army raided Jenin, sparking intense confrontations with Palestinian youths,” WAFA news agency reported.
According to the army, Israeli troops went into Jenin to target a “cell” affiliated with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) movement. Two Palestinians were detained during the raid, and one was killed.
The dead resistance fighter has been identified as 32-year-old Mustafa al-Kastouni, a member of the Fatah-linked resistance faction, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade.

U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland’s visit in post-coup Niger has incensed Washington’s NATO ally France, according to a weekend report by French news outlet Le Figaro, quoting a source within the French Foreign Ministry.
The United States “did the exact opposite of what we thought they would do,” the French daily wrote, according to the diplomat’s remarks. “With allies like these, we do not need enemies,” it elaborated. Paris has been demanding the reinstatement of ousted President Mohamed Bazoum ever since a new military government emerged in wake of a coup in late July.
Moreover, the French government was prepared to militarily back West African nations to assist with Bazoum’s reinstatement, as it upheld the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in its move to deploy reserve forces after the coup.

India asks local banks to de-dollarize UAE trade: Report

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has started asking local banks to drop the US dollar in transactions with the UAE and instead use the Emirati dirham or Indian rupee, sources familiar with the matter told Reuters.
"The RBI has asked banks to encourage clients and corporates to initiate INR-AED trades gradually, instead of using the dollar," a treasury official at a private bank told the British news outlet.
Indian foreign exchange dealers were informed of this new status quo during a seminar this month by an RBI official.
The unnamed sources claimed the decision by New Delhi is part of a “broader aim of promoting settlement in local currencies with countries with which India has a trade deficit." Furthermore, the move is expected to boost the rupee's global reach and reduce the outflow of dollars from the country.

The federal government has started purchasing COVID-19 equipment and hiring advisors on "safety protocols” amidst speculation the Biden White House will reinstate pandemic-era lockdowns and mandates, War Room can reveal.
The unearthed government contracts from entities including the Department of Defense (DOD) show millions in taxpayer funds being used to purchase COVID-19 equipment such as test kits. Some of the contracts, which are traceable via the federal government’s spending database, are even scheduled to begin in future months such as September and October.
The DOD, for example, gave Hologic Sales and Service LLC a $1.5 million contract beginning on October 1st that’s set to conclude in May of 2024. Millions of Americans were advised by their doctors to get “vaccinated” for the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) – not because they actually care about their patients, mind you, but because they were bribed by health insurance companies to peddle as
many jabs as possible in exchange for cash. A leaked document from Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield (BCBS) Medicaid shows how the health provider created a “COVID-19 Vaccine Provider Incentive program” to reward doctors for pushing covid jabs on their patients (source). “Getting vaccinated against COVID-19 is one of the best and safest ways people can protect themselves and their families against the virus,” Anthem Medicaid claims in the document’s opener.

South African Farm Murders Are Up 167 Percent on Last Quarter.

Farm murders in South Africa, where farmers are mostly white, have increased sharply quarter-on-quarter, according to a leading civil rights organization.
“Although the number of [farm] attacks for the first and second quarter is more or less the same, murders increased by 167 percent – from nine in the first quarter to 24 in the second quarter,” reports Jacques Broodryk, community safety spokesman for the AfriForum organization which represents the Afrikaner minority,
often referred to as Boers.
The South African authorities appear to be of little help, with just 15 of the 76 farm attacks recorded in the second quarter of 2023 seeing suspects arrested. They may be taking their lead from President Cyril Ramaphosa, who has refused to authorize a commission of inquiry
into farm attacks and denies they are being orchestrated to drive white people off their land.

The West Maui disaster is becoming less about the fire and more about the government's bizarre response to the aftermath. Independent media sources and some mainstream media sources have confirmed multiple instances of the
Democrat controlled government's mismanagement that led to the escalation of the tragedy. The circus included a woke water management bureaucrat who believes water is "godlike" and that it must be distributed according to the rules of "equity; the same official withheld vital firefighting resources for a day while Maui burned. The state government has been thoroughly embarrassed, but instead of responding with humility, they have doubled down and gone on the attack.
The Governor of Hawaii, Josh Green, took a wild swing at independent reporting, telling people not to listen to information from social media and "influencers." It's hard to say what his definition of an "influencer" is, only that he is clearly hostile to anyone reporting news outside of the government narrative. Green's disapproval of media reporting is not limited to alternative journalists, however. It appears that there is now an information blackout being instituted by the state. Corporate journalists are also being denied access to the area of the fire damage path as well as access to any details surrounding the investigation into how the fires may have started.

Russian authorities have said eight bodies have been recovered thus far. FT has summarized the following details of emerging Wagner statements:
A post by Grey Zone, a Wagner-connected social media channel, claimed Russian anti-aircraft defences had shot down the plane. It said that residents heard “two bursts of characteristic air defense fire” before the crash. “This is confirmed by inversion traces in the sky in one of the videos,” it added. Mash, a news outlet on social media app Telegram, said locals had heard two loud bangs before the crash.

Biden Admin Approves Massive Helicopter Sale to Poland

Warsaw plans to buy nearly 100 Apache attack helicopters manufactured by Boeing for $12 billion. Until Poland receives the helicopters, the US will provide Apaches to its NATO ally.
The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) announced the State Department greenlit the massive arms sale on Monday. The deal is for 96 AH-64E Apache Attack Helicopters, spare parts, thousands of
missiles, other munitions, as well as maintenance and training for the helicopters.
The State Department claims the sale will further the security of the US. “This proposed sale will support the foreign policy goals and national security objectives of the United States by improving the security of a North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Ally that is a force for political stability and economic progress in Europe,” the DSCA press release stated. “The proposed sale will improve Poland’s capability to meet current and future threats by providing a credible force that is capable of deterring adversaries and participating in NATO operations.”

US Corporate Bankruptcies Are On The Rise

In March, Silicon Valley Bank collapsed, plunging its parent company SVB Financial Group into bankruptcy a week later.
While many expected a wave of bank failures to follow, much of this has since been averted - but cracks have begun to emerge with Moody’s recent downgrading of 10 small and mid-sized banks.
Across the wider corporate landscape, bankruptcies have begun to tick higher. Overstretched balance sheets coupled with 11 interest rate hikes since last year have added to mounting challenges for companies across many sectors.

So far in 2023, over 400 corporations have gone under. Corporate bankruptcies are rising at the fastest pace since 2010 (barring the pandemic), and are double the level seen this time last year.

At a moment China and Russia have envisioned the future of BRICS as fundamentally an anti-Western bloc of developing nations, the Gulf oil powers Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have
been formally invited to become members, which marks the bloc's first expansion in over a decade.
"The membership will take effect from the first of January, 2024," South African President Cyril Ramaphosa said, adding that additionally Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia and Iran will be added to the fold next year. China’s President Xi Jinping hailed the rare expansion, beyond the current large economies of China, Russia, Brazil India, China and South Africa as "historic". He said it will "inject new impetus into the BRICS cooperation mechanism and further strengthen the power of world peace and development."

RFK Jr. Says He Would Sign ‘Assault Weapons’ Ban if it Reached His Desk

When RFK Jr. was asked about an “assault weapons” ban, the question was framed to reflect strong Democrat support for such a measure.
RFK Jr. responded, “If we can get a consensus on it, if Republicans and Democrats agreed and it passed Congress, I would sign it.”
He made his statement about an “assault weapons” ban just minutes after intimating that guns are not problem. He indicated that Americans have always had guns, and that Americans used to bring firearms to school for “gun clubs,” and no one thought of shooting at children.
RFK Jr.’s admission he would sign an “assault weapons” ban came just over a week after he used a New Hampshire townhall to stand against the idea of taking away guns.

USDA Caught Pumping mRNA Vaccines Into All Organic Produce Across America

In 2019 the National Organic Standards Board (NOSB), an advisory committee of the USDA, decided to allow the use of mRNA vaccines produced through “excluded methods” or genetic modification in organic food production.
According to OrganicEye, an industry watchdog, USDA-certified organic producers all across America are using mRNA and GE vaccines in their livestock even though it goes against the principles of organic farming.
“In discussions pursuant to vaccines at previous NOSB meetings, some certifiers, accredited by the USDA… have publicly admitted that they do not even check to determine if vaccines violate the prohibition against genetic engineering.”
This potential fraud and deception in the organic industry indicate that “Big Ag,” or the large agricultural corporations, have been chipping away at the integrity of organic standards – clean and natural food production, free from synthetic inputs and genetic modification.

Mississippi Health Department offers churches, businesses $1,000 to join COVID vax program

(LifeSiteNews) — The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) is offering businesses and churches money in exchange for promoting COVID-19 vaccination despite persistent doubts about the need and safety of the shots.
On Monday, MSDH announced via social media that businesses and faith organizations can receive $1,000 for participating in the state’s Communities Conquering COVID vaccination education program.
“The program will train representatives from barbershops, salons, churches and faith-based organizations as community health advocates to provide vaccination education and materials to their members and clients,” the announcement says. In addition to training, the post says participants will distribute COVID test kits and vaccination material, and help with local vaccination events.
