JPMorgan’s Settlements Reach $365 Million Over Civil Claims It Banked Jeffrey Epstein’s Sex Trafficking of Minors; Criminal Charges Could Lie Ahead

JPMorgan Chase would like the public to believe that it’s going to walk away from the sleaziest financial crime of the century just $365 million poorer in the process. That’s just not going to happen... Yesterday, the bank settled for $75 million the Jeffrey Epstein related claims brought by the Attorney General of the U.S. Virgin Islands, after settling class action claims brought by Epstein’s victims for $290 million in June. (The June settlement was so questionable that we initiated an inquiry into the presiding Judge, Jed Rakoff, who called it a “really fine settlement.”)
Both lawsuits alleged that JPMorgan Chase actively participated in Epstein’s sex trafficking of minors enterprise by turning a blind eye to his ongoing crimes and failing to file the legally mandated Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) as Epstein took upwards of $40,000 to $80,000 in hard cash monthly from his accounts. Over the span of 15 years, that hard cash tallied up to more than $5 million according to court documents... JPMorgan Chase previously admitted in 2014 to two criminal charges brought by the U.S. Department of Justice for banking Bernie Madoff’s Ponzi scheme for decades and ignoring its legal obligation to file SARs with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). The settlement with the Justice Department included a penalty of $1.7 billion in restitution to Madoff victims and a promise to reform its anti-money laundering compliance programs. Clearly, JPMorgan Chase has not honored that agreement.

Busted! Adam Schiff Funneled Millions To Defense Contractors After Taking Donations

According to an investigation by Politico, Schiff "has offered an incomplete and potentially misleading account of his record on earmarks."
A POLITICO review of congressional earmarks and political contributions found that in addition to the money for homelessness and drug treatment, Schiff also steered millions to for-profit companies and raised tens of thousands for his House reelection campaigns from corporate executives and people connected to them. The review was mostly limited to publicly available data from the brief three-year window when corporate earmarks were disclosed.
In two particularly egregious cases, Schiff channeled millions in funding to Smiths Detection and Phasebridge, Inc., two defense companies within his district - with $6 million steered to Smiths Detection and $3 million to Phasebridge. Both moves would have been barred under reforms adopted in 2010. This financial maneuvering coincided with Schiff receiving $8,500 in contributions from PMA Group PAC and two family members of Paul Magliocchetti, founder and owner of the lobbying firm retained by both defense companies.
In 2011, Paul Magliocchetti was sentenced to 27 months in prison for making illegal campaign contributions.

Doctor Received $150 Million In 'Largest Fraud Scheme' Involving COVID-19 Relief Program

In what the U.S. Attorney’s Office is calling the “largest fraud scheme” targeting a COVID-19 program for uninsured patients, an Orange County, California, doctor was charged Sept. 27 with an 18-count indictment for submitting false claims and receiving around $150 million in payments.
Anthony Hao Dinh, 64, from Newport Coast was charged with 12 counts of wire fraud, five counts of money laundering—two of which included the transfer of over $11 million to personal stock trading accounts—and one count of obstructing justice, according to a Sept. 28 statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Mr. Dinh allegedly submitted false patient reports in response to a grand jury subpoena to cover up the false claims.
He faces up to 50 years in prison for all charges combined if he is convicted.
Mr. Dinh allegedly submitted over a quarter billion dollars in claims for unprovided or non-covered services by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) COVID-19 Uninsured Program.
The millions he received—as an ear, nose, and throat specialist and facial plastic surgeon—were allegedly for services to insured patients, not rendered, or not medically necessary between July 2020 and March 2021 in his offices located in Westminster and Garden Grove.

Four Biden Impeachment Articles and What the House Will Need to Prove |

Below is my column in The Hill on moving forward with the Biden impeachment inquiry. The column discusses four possible impeachment articles that could be brought by the House and what the House would need to prove.

With the commencement of the impeachment inquiry into the conduct of President Joe Biden, three House committees will now pursue key linkages between the president and the massive influence peddling operation run by his son Hunter and brother James.
The impeachment inquiry should allow the House to finally acquire long-sought records of Hunter, James, and Joe Biden, as well as to pursue witnesses involved in their dealings.
I testified this week at the first hearing of the impeachment inquiry on the constitutional standards and practices in moving forward in the investigation. In my view, there is ample justification for an impeachment inquiry. If these allegations are established, they would clearly constitute impeachable offenses. I listed ten of those facts in my testimony that alone were sufficient to move forward with this inquiry.
I was criticized by both the left and the right for the testimony. Steven Bannon and others were upset that I did not believe that the basis for impeachment had already been established in the first hearing of the inquiry. Others were angry that I supported the House efforts to resolve these questions of public corruption.

The GloboCap Nazi Follies

Here’s a story destined for urgent dispatch down the Memory Hole. In fact, if you listen closely, you can already hear it being sucked down through the ducts of the GloboCap Ministry of Truth toward the enormous mnemonic incinerator where all official “unstories” go to die. Yesterday, it was an embarrassment. Tomorrow, it will no longer be of interest. By next week, it will have never happened.
So, let’s review it before that happens … and perhaps try to understand why it happened.
What happened was, on the eve of Yom Kippur, members of the Canadian House of Commons and assorted invited dignitaries and diplomats stood up in the Canadian parliament and paid extensive homage to a Nazi. Not a figurative Nazi. A literal Nazi. A member of the Waffen SS.
They did this shamelessly, exuberantly, on camera, in front of the entire world.
The Nazi in question is Yaroslav Hunka, a 98-year-old Ukrainian Nazi who emigrated to Canada in the 1950s following his military career as a Nazi in the 14th Grenadier Division of the Waffen SS, the combat branch of the Nazi Party’s paramilitary forces, whose members swore allegiance to Adolf Hitler.

Former Americans Who Gave Up Their Citizenship Want Their Money Back

Last fall, Nina Nelson went to the U.S. Embassy in Paris and renounced her citizenship to the United States of America.
Now 67, Ms. Nelson called the decision “painful” and one that she wasn’t happy about. She had not lived in the United States since she was a young girl. And to be an American citizen who lives abroad can be taxing — literally.
The United States is one of only a few countries that levy taxes based on citizenship rather than geography. This means that Americans living abroad must file a tax return, and they may find it more difficult to open a bank account, because of reporting rules for foreign banks imposed by the U.S. government.
“I did it because of the permanent stress,” Ms. Nelson said of her decision to relinquish her U.S. citizenship.
The process to obtain what is known as a certificate of loss of nationality, which included taking an oath of renunciation after several months on a waiting list, cost her $2,350, a fee that the United States began to impose in 2014 on those trying to renounce their citizenship. For four years before that, the fee was $450. And before that, the certificate was free.
On Monday, the State Department announced a proposal to return the fee to $450, a move it signaled earlier this year. Now, Ms. Nelson and others who paid the higher amount would like some of their money back. She and three other plaintiffs, including citizens of Germany and the Netherlands, filed a class-action lawsuit against the State Department to get the difference of $1,900 refunded.

Food Stamps Will Be Harder To Get From October |

The new rules, which went into effect Oct. 1, stipulate that able-bodied adults without dependents between the ages of 52 and 54 will have to prove that they are actively working, training, or in school. Before, those between the ages of 18 and 52 had to prove they are working at least 80 hours per month, in school, or involved in a training program to get the SNAP benefits.
The age requirement was expanded as part of the debt ceiling deal that was passed in Congress and signed by President Joe Biden earlier this year. The age requirement will expand by another year in October 2024, while the new requirements will be in effect until Oct. 1, 2030.
With the recent changes, the left-wing Center on Budget and Policy Priorities warned that more than 750,000 "older adults" are at risk of losing SNAP benefits due to the "expansion of the existing, failed SNAP work-reporting requirement." The requirements initiated under the debt ceiling deal were the largest changes made to the SNAP, or food stamps, in decades.
"The expansion of this requirement would take food assistance away from large numbers of people, including many who have serious barriers to employment as well as others who are working or should be exempt but are caught up in red tape," it said.
It was part of a deal between President Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) several months ago. At the time, Mr. McCarthy said that "what work requirements actually do [is to] help people get a job."
Republicans have tried for decades to expand work requirements for these government assistance programs, arguing they result in more people returning to the workforce. “We’re going to return these programs to being a life vest, not a lifestyle. A hand up, not a handout and that has always been the American way,” Rep. Mike Johnson (R-La.) told reporters in June.

Court-Appointed Child Advocate Dismissed After Refusing To Support Gender Surgeries For Kids Under 12: Report

A longtime volunteer child advocate for the King County, Washington, Superior Court said she was dismissed after refusing to say she would encourage children under the age of 12 to undergo life-altering gender surgeries and hormone treatments.
The child advocate, who requested to remain anonymous, told conservative radio host Jason Rantz that for the past seven years, she had worked for the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program, which recruits and trains people to represent the best interests of children between the ages of 0-11. Rantz reported that the child advocate was recently forced to undergo new training after taking some time off and was dismissed after she said she wouldn’t be comfortable supporting a minor who wanted to undergo gender surgery.
“I am very disappointed that CASA, whom I have supported for many years, has succumbed to the extreme liberalism that is rampant today,” the volunteer told Rantz on his radio show on KTTH. “I am appalled that an organization that is supposed to protect our most vulnerable, children between the ages of 0-11, would require that its volunteers be willing to advocate for medical intervention that would alter the natural gender of children.”

“The Great Taking”: How They Can Own It All

.. but ahead of the Sept 30 midnight drop dead date, there is still some confusion so let's recap the main points, the first of which is that a government shutdown should not be confused with the debt ceiling and its potential for a sovereign default.
As JPM writes in its latest shutdown note, if no deal is reached by Oct 1 - which is now certainly the default case - then a continuing resolution is one of the more likely paths, but should a CR remain in place by Jan 1, 2024, then there will be an automatic cut to military/defense spending.
A government shutdown does not actually shutdown all aspects of the government, as many elements are exempted. In addition to the items listed below, JPM assumes that Departments of Defense, Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, State, and the Social Security Administration continue to make payments.

The 5-week shutdown from 2018-19 reduced real GDP by $11bn or 0.3%; $3bn of that $11bn was likely non-recoverable once the government reopened.

In March, April and May, central banks reported net gold sales, primarily due to Turkey selling 160 tons of gold over that three-month period. According to the World Gold Council, this was a specific response to local market dynamics and didn’t likely reflect a change in the Turkish central bank’s long-term gold strategy.
Turkey returned to buying gold in June and added another 14.7 tons in August, joining China, Poland and Uzbekistan as the biggest buyers for the month.
According to the World Gold Council, the Turkish government reinstated gold import quotas in early August. There was some speculation that domestic shortages could lead to central bank gold sales to meet demand, but this clearly wasn’t the case.
The People’s Bank of China ranked as the largest buyer in August, adding 28.9 tons of gold to its holdings. It was the 10th consecutive month of buying for the Chinese central bank. China is the largest gold buyer year-to-date, having increased its official reserves by 166 tons since the beginning of the year and 217 tons since it resumed official purchases last November. The People’s Bank of China now officially holds 2,165 tons of gold, making up 4% of its total reserves.
China has a history of adding to reserves and then going silent.
The People’s Bank of China accumulated 1,448 tons of gold between 2002 and 2019, and then reported nothing for more than two years before resuming reporting last fall.
Many speculate that the Chinese continued to add gold to its holdings off the books during those silent years.

Here is video of the Free State Project Board Meeting where Jeremy Kaufmann was kicked off the board. I have mixed feelings about this whole issue, as I genuinely like Jeremy Kaufmann BUT was shocked at his drunken outburst at PorcFest where he insulted a grieving parent who lost a child to a vaccine adverse event/death. What was even more shocking to me was that Jeremy was promoting vaccines when anyone who has looked even casually into the subject would base their decision on the crooked "tobacco science" of Washington DC, the NIH and CDC with their revolving door of cronyism including Julie "Merck" Gerberding of the CDC and Michael "Monsanto" Taylor of the FDA as two high-profile examples. Very bizarre to have an individual at the Board level of the FSP that doesn't understand how and why (Eugenics) the organized crime "government" is allowing adulterated "vaccines" and adjuvents into the brains of developing children.
Jeremy was, essentially, promoting the organized crime and "government's line on vaccines! He can't figure out how monied interests might have hijacked and monopolized the regulators? He can't tell from just his friends and colleagues with kids on the autism spectrum who have figured out the government's numbers and claims don't make sense? I have 10+ friends, family, colleagues and fellow yogis with kids on the spectrum (the overwhelming majority of whom have looked into the issues and blame the "vaccines" and know the "government" is lying to them). I frankly wouldn't trust anyone who trusts the "government" on vaccination and think it says a lot about their intelligence... Jason Sorens lost a lot of support among the FSP for getting "chumped" and pumping the Covid-19 "vaccines"
